Uno Ano!

So here I am, one year to the day of when I left the United States and arrived in Ecuador (on the very significant 11/11) – it seems like just yesterday!  Reflecting on this past year, I am amazed at the life I am now leading – how different it is from before and how different I AM from before.  So I thought (of course) that a song would express my feelings and message in a much better summary than I could write – please enjoy Britt Nicole’s “Walk on the Water.”

P.S. – The number “11” continues to show up in unbelievably significant ways in my life!

Another "message from God" - amazing!

You can walk on the water too!

You look around and staring back at you
Another wave of doubt, will it pull you under? You wonder
What if I’m overtaken? What if I never make it?
What if no one’s there? Will You hear my prayer?
When you take that first step into the unknown
You know that He won’t let you go

So what are you waiting for? What do you have to lose?
Your insecurities, they try to alter you
But you know you’re made for more, so don’t be afraid to move
Your faith is all it takes and you can walk on the water, too

So get out and let your fear fall to the ground
No time to waste, don’t wait, and don’t you turn around and miss out
Everything you were made for, I know you’re not sure
So you play it safe, you try to run away
If you take that first step into the unknown
He won’t let you go

So what are you waiting for? What do you have to lose?
Your insecurities, they try to alter you
But you know you’re made for more, so don’t be afraid to move
Your faith is all it takes and you can walk on the water, too

Step out, even when it’s storming
Step out, even when you’re broken
Step out, even when your heart is telling you
Telling you to give up
Step out, when your hope is stolen
Step out, You can’t see where you’re going
You don’t have to be afraid
So what are you waiting, what are you waiting for?

So what are you waiting for? What do you have to lose?
Your insecurities try to alter you
You know you’re made for more, so don’t be afraid to move
Your faith is all it takes and you can walk on the water
Walk on the water, too

  1. I needed that today. I’m having a big jewelry and art with a friend tomorrow from 2:00-4:00. It has been raining for 2 days!!!! I’m believing God is a very big God and will clear it up by tomorrow. The set up is OUTSIDE. Your prayers would be welcomed. Can’t believe you have really been there 1 year. You have come a very long way in your walk with the Lord. I love to read what all you have and are doing. God is more than good to us! Deena

  2. I was just thinking that you were coming up on your one year anniversary. I love reading your posts. You have an amazing testimony and faith story through your journey. God is using you in so many ways. Thank you for keeping us all involved in how God is working and using you for His glory.

  3. Oh my. Good for you. I am so proud of you. Yes your life is so different but in such good ways.

I have tried to call you but I do not seem to have the right numbers again! Would you please send your Vonage number? I am anxious to hear about your house and other doings.

    Love you. Jean
